About the role
Agriconnex is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join an exciting new cafe venture opening in Mildura, Victoria. As the Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen team and be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This is a full-time role with competitive remuneration.
What you'll be doing
Managing and mentoring the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Ensuring that all food preparation, presentation and service standards are consistently maintained
Refining current menu offering
Overseeing inventory management, cost control and food waste reduction initiatives
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless customer service
Keeping up to date with industry trends and regulations to drive continuous improvement
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
Demonstrated expertise in Asian cuisines and techniques
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service
Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
Passion for using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients and creating innovative, flavourful dishes
Salary:
An attractive salary of between $89,000 to $95,000 per year, is on offer for the right candidate.
