Head Chef, Mildura

About the Job:

Is cooking your great love? Do you enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen? Do you have an eye for detail and presentation? We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join a new cafe opening in the Mildura region. A funky venue with a family friendly vibe and an Asian-inspired cuisine.

Duties include:

• Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a new kitchen team

• Managing kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, and staff rosters

• Maintaining a positive and supportive work culture

• Refining current menu offering

• Making sure that excellent Health & Safety standards are met.

Experience:

• Must have a minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and at least 2 years’ previous experience as a Head Chef.

• Be able to work weekends and rotating roster

• A strong team player and able to work in a busy environment

• Passionate about providing exceptional food service.

• Knowledge of Asian cuisines and techniques.

Salary:

• An attractive salary of between $89,000 to $95,000 per year, is on offer for the right candidate.
